When making home brew, it’s important to give your gains inspiration. So we like to let the un-milled grain sit next to a great beer before crushing it, mashing it, and turning it into beer. It just gives the grain something to aspire to.

Kind of like giving a person a mentor.

If you allow the grain some time to hang out with someone older and wiser, it will hopefully get some good ideas and grow up to be a killer beer. But of course you also need good grain. Bad grain that hasn’t been raised properly simply won’t see and opportunity (or hopportunity) if you haven’t raised it right.

And beer sitting in lovely malted grain makes nice beerporn. It’s just good to look at.

Check out more of our beerporn here. It won’t disappoint! It’s a full gallery of really cool beer pictures that we update regularly. Check back often.
